are global and growing. And we are looking for an experienced Sr.
Contracts Manager to negotiate with U.S. and International
customers and to manage the contract process.
Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Senior Contracts Manager
(SrCM) is to provide full life-cycle contract and subcontract
management, which includes leading all pre-award, post-award, and
closeout activities for U.S. and international government and
commercial contracts and subcontracts. The SrCM reviews, prepares,
and negotiates documents necessary to protect the company's
contractual posture with adherence to company policy and applicable
laws and regulations; performs general contract management and
administration responsibilities; provides interpretation of terms
and conditions and advises management of contractual rights and
obligations; and consults with the legal and other departments as
needed to ensure the company has preserved its rights, while
limiting its liabilities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify and mitigate contract risks; seek to discover unstated
needs and expectations and communicate concerns and issues clearly
to the company. Monitor and track contract performance (contract
schedules, deliverables, funding, invoicing, and payments) and
proactively identify and address potential risk areas or other
problems that could have an adverse impact on the company.
Participate in program reviews and contracts-related meetings with
internal and/or external customers. Develop and maintain positive
customer relationships, both internally and externally, and support
the generation of additional or new business opportunities. Ensure
that contracts, subcontracts, and other agreements are managed in
accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable laws
and regulations, and contract requirements. Review and prepare
various business agreements, documentation, correspondence, forms,
and reports which may be required to support business development
activities, solicitations, contract awards, subcontract awards, and
related activities. Maintain contract files and records, manage
archive records, and maintain contract information in various
databases and ERP system. Manage subcontracts, monitor
subcontractor performance, and coordinate resolution of subcontract
issues. Participate in the resolution of contract disputes, audits,
and other post-award contract matters. Perform other duties as
assigned by management.
Job Qualifications:
BA/BS degree required. At least 7 years direct experience
working with U.S. and international government and commercial
contracts; experience managing complex multi-million dollar
programs required. Thorough knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and contract
principles governing the award and management of U.S. and
international government and commercial contracts. Ability to
communicate effectively and must have strong written and verbal
communication skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to
review and manage voluminous contract files, correspondence, and
maintain information in electronic databases.Strong time management
skills with ability to work well under pressure, multi-task, and
handle multiple priorities. Self-motivated and good level of
focus/concentration with ability to prioritize, follow-through, and
complete tasks on time.Ability to exercise good judgment and handle
confidential and sensitive issues. Detail oriented with high level
of accuracy. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong
computer skills with advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word,
Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Must have U.S. Citizenship and
current passport.
